Tutorials and fulfillment advice from the team behind Zorem's WooCommerce plugins — used on more than 80,000 stores.
It is half past five, there are four people at your counter, and each of them is reading an order number off a phone screen while someone on your team scrolls the orders list looking for a match. Once the right bag is found, it goes over the counter. Then somebody has to remember to […]

You print a DHL label from the order screen, the parcel goes in the cage, and the customer gets an email with a tracking number. Then a PayPal buyer opens an “item not received” case, and PayPal has no tracking on file. Your support inbox has a “where is my order?” message from someone whose […]

Your customer waited five days for a parcel, watched it move through three tracking updates, and then it arrived. That is the moment they are most warmly disposed towards your store all year. It is also the exact moment most WooCommerce stores go completely silent. Everything before delivery gets attention: the confirmation email, the shipped […]

Every tracking number you add to an order comes with a small decision: which carrier is this? Multiply that by fifty orders a day, across three or four carriers, and the dropdown becomes the slowest part of fulfilment. Pick the wrong one and the customer gets a tracking link that goes nowhere. A field you […]

WooCommerce gives you exactly one status for a shipped order: Completed. The moment you print a label, the order jumps from Processing to Completed, and the customer receives an email telling them their order is “complete” while the parcel is still sitting on your packing bench. Split an order across two boxes and it gets […]

Every “Item Not Received” dispute follows the same script. The buyer claims the package never arrived, PayPal asks you for proof of shipment, and you scramble to dig up a tracking number from three weeks ago. Miss the response window and you lose the case, the money, and a mark against your account health. The […]

In a marketplace, you do not ship anything. Twelve vendors do, on twelve schedules, with twelve different carriers. The customer still sees one order number, and when they want to know where their parcel is, they email you, not the vendor who packed it. So you end up chasing tracking numbers in Slack and pasting […]

Your warehouse sends over a spreadsheet with 400 tracking numbers every afternoon. You open WooCommerce, find order 1042, paste a number, save, and repeat. By order 60 you have stopped checking whether the carrier dropdown matched what the warehouse wrote, and somewhere in there a customer gets a tracking link that goes nowhere. Bulk entry […]

The “your order is complete” email is the last thing most stores send, and it is usually the weakest. It carries the theme’s default styling, a tracking number buried in a line of plain text, and no clear way for the customer to check where the parcel actually is. So they email you instead, and […]

Your warehouse ships 80 orders. Someone then opens WooCommerce, selects them in batches, flips them to Completed, and hopes nobody got missed. Meanwhile three customers email asking where their parcel is, because “Completed” told them nothing about whether it actually left the building. Bulk-editing statuses by hand is a daily tax on a process that […]

You added local pickup, and it worked fine when you had one shop. Then you opened a second location, added a warehouse, and now every pickup order arrives with no indication of where the customer actually plans to collect it. Your team calls the customer to ask. Every time. WooCommerce’s built-in pickup was never designed […]

Subscription box businesses have a tracking problem that one-off stores never face. Every renewal cycle generates a fresh batch of orders that all need tracking numbers, all need customer notifications, and all need to go out in the same narrow window. Miss the shipping notification on cycle three and your churn number moves before you […]

You fulfil an order, add the tracking number, and move on. But your payment gateway still shows that transaction as shipped with no proof. When a customer opens a dispute, PayPal and Stripe ask you to produce tracking evidence, and if it is not already attached to the transaction, you are scrambling to upload it […]

You add tracking numbers to orders, mark them shipped, and fire off the “your order has shipped” email. Then the questions start anyway. “Where is my package?” “Has it left yet?” “It says shipped but the link is dead.” Each one is a support ticket you should not have to answer, because the information already […]

A customer orders five items. Three are in your warehouse and one is coming from a supplier next week. You ship what you have, but WooCommerce only gives you one tracking field and one “Completed” status, so the customer either gets marked complete before everything arrives or sits in the dark wondering where half their […]

It is Monday morning and the weekend’s orders are sitting in Processing: 140 of them, across three carriers. The only view WooCommerce gives you is the full Orders list, where they are mixed in with last month’s refunds and an order a customer cancelled on Saturday. Someone opens each order to see what is in […]

You sell the product, but you never touch it. Your supplier ships from a warehouse you have never seen, and the tracking number lands in a spreadsheet, an email, or a supplier dashboard your customer never gets to see. So the customer emails you “where is my order?” and you are stuck copy-pasting tracking numbers […]

Running click-and-collect on WooCommerce used to mean bolting a “local pickup” shipping method onto a zone and hoping customers figured out the rest. That stopped being enough a while ago. Today, shoppers expect to pick a real store, choose a time slot, get a “ready for collection” notice, and walk in without friction. Most plugins […]
