May was a heavy build month at Zorem. We shipped major upgrades across nine plugins — including a two-part release of CEV PRO with 2FA and disposable email blocking, a complete pickup operations overhaul in Local Pickup PRO, four new features in Zorem Returns, and three new integrations for SMS for WooCommerce. Every plugin has been tested against the latest WooCommerce 10.7.0 / 10.8.0 and WordPress 6.9.4 / 7.0 releases.

Customer Email Verification PRO 2.9.4 & 2.9.5
Released May 6 & May 18, 2026
CEV PRO goes from email verification to a complete identity and anti-spam suite. Two back-to-back releases added 2FA, disposable email blocking, DNS validation, a full analytics dashboard, and re-engagement automation — if you’re fighting fake signups or want stronger account security, this is the update of the month.
- 2FA via Authenticator app — offer Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password as a primary verification method, stronger than email-only.
- Role-based 2FA enforcement — require 2FA only for shop managers, admins, or wholesale roles without adding friction for regular shoppers.
- Verification Analytics dashboard — signups, verification rate, blocked spam totals, average time-to-verify, top blocked disposable domains, and a signup-to-verify funnel chart with 7/30/90-day or custom ranges.
- Disposable / temporary email blocking — around 3,000 bundled domains, admin-defined custom add list, and a customisable rejection message.
- DNS-based MX record validation — verify the email domain actually accepts mail, with a 24h per-domain transient cache.
- Custom email rules — B2B Allowlist (only specified domains can sign up) plus the ability to block specific email addresses.
- Auto-delete unverified WP accounts via daily cron, with safeguards for users with orders, active subscriptions, elevated roles, or recent logins. Hard 30-day minimum retention and preview-before-run.
- Re-engagement reminder emails — automatically email unverified users at 1h / 24h / 3d / 7d intervals, fully editable via the email customizer.
- Redesigned Unverified Users table — colored avatars, friendly relative time, unified actions menu, bulk delete, and CSV export.

A major release focused on physical handoff and daily operations. If you run a store with a counter, kitchen, or curbside service, this is the upgrade that turns Local Pickup PRO into a real operations tool.
- QR Code Pickup Handoff System — each order gets a unique QR code customers show at collection, staff scan to verify and mark collected.
- Daily Pickup Pick-List (Kitchen Display / Today Mode) — a dedicated view of every pickup scheduled today, sorted by time, designed for kitchen screens or counter tablets.
- Map-Based Pickup Location Picker with Find Nearest — customers see your locations on an interactive map at checkout, and the system auto-suggests the nearest one.
- Curbside Pickup Mode — a dedicated curbside flow where customers notify your store on arrival with vehicle details, and staff get an instant alert.

Five operational enhancements that returns managers have been asking for — shop manager access, restocking fees, payment method restrictions, and a refreshed dashboard.
- Shop Manager Access for Returns Management — delegate the returns desk to the right people without granting full admin privileges.
- Restocking Fee Deducted from Refund — configure a flat or percentage restocking fee that’s auto-deducted on approval. Protects margin on opened or non-resellable returns.
- Restrict Returns by Payment Method — disable automated returns for specific gateways (for example, block on COD orders where refund logistics get messy).
- Improved Return Approval Refund Flow with tighter notification controls.
- Redesigned Returns Dashboard data table — easier to scan, sort, and filter when you’re processing dozens of returns a day.
SMS for WooCommerce 2.4.2

Three new plugin integrations and a useful checkout toggle. If you run a multivendor marketplace, a membership site, or use wishlists, SMS for WooCommerce now plays nicely with all three.
- Enable Phone Number Validation toggle for Twilio and Nexmo — bypass checkout validation when needed (useful for international stores where format detection is unreliable).
- Dokan Multivendor Marketplace compatibility — send SMS notifications with proper vendor context.
- MemberPress compatibility — trigger SMS on new memberships, renewals, and cancellations.

- Self-healing nightly aggregation — the cron now recomputes the last 30 days from source data instead of only updating yesterday’s snapshot. Window is filterable via

Advanced Shipment Tracking (Free) 3.9.2 & CEV (Free) 2.7
The free versions of AST and CEV both received WooCommerce 10.7.0 and WordPress 6.9.4 compatibility updates. AST Free also replaced the deprecated wc_enqueue_js call with wp_add_inline_script for WooCommerce 10.4.0+ compatibility.
